Making a Difference
Successful businesses focus on three core essentials: people, processes, and products. At Cobblestone we are also incorporating a higher-level framework surrounding the environment, social responsibility, and governance, or ESG, into our long-term strategy.
Environment
Cobblestone commits to measuring environmental efficiencies such as water usage, energy consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as implementing solutions like environmentally friendly materials and practices to help reduce our ecological footprint. We have installed EV Charging Stations and solar streetlights in many of our communities.
We focus investment on the following areas:
Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) | Water Consumption | Energy Consumption | Product Carbon Footprint Renewable Energy Usage | Packaging and Waste
Social Responsibility
Cobblestone believes that it is important to consider the social implications of our actions. For those impacted by Hurricane Ian, Cobblestone has made donations to non-profit organizations with feet on the ground, including Volunteer Florida/Florida Disaster Fund and World Central Kitchen.
Our team is focused on:
Human Rights | Diversity Equity and Inclusion | Investment in Communities | Data Privacy | Access to Career Development
Governance
Cobblestone commits to running our business ethically and with integrity, striving to lower risks and improve relationships with employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
Some examples include:
Board makeup and independence | Shareholder rights | Fair wage gaps | Justifiable executive compensation | Transparency in policy
Local Involvement
We encourage our communities to find unique opportunities to enrich their local area. Participation in a variety of community-based activities makes a tremendous impact on the quality of life for our residents and surrounding neighbors. Cobblestone has made community involvement a priority and major component of our corporate philosophy through efforts such as:
Support of local economic development councils and Chambers of Commerce
Participation in community public service groups such as Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs
Assistance to local sports teams through sponsorships and facility improvements
